We were on the road by 8:30 am...we thought...then realized we are in a different time zone and it was 9:30 am. By the time we got to the campground last night, it was dark and no one was at the office. Ken picked up an envelope with instructions for after hours registration. As we drove past the swimming pool, we saw a man and a women in it. There were no lights around the pool. We found a spot and as we pulled in a man on a golf cart was right there, making sure we were completing the envelope with payment. We didn't disconnect the RV from the truck; we aren't going anywhere. *When we passed the swimming pool this morning, there was no water in it. Makes me wonder what was going on in there last night!

We turned on the air..it is hot here...still in the 80's. We tried to watch Alfred Hitchcock via the Apple TV and Verizon 4GLTE but it kept stalling and wouldn't catch up. It was too annoying so we went to bed. We had a long day.....driving so far.

We are headed through Amarillo today; then Oklahoma. We don't have a stopping place picked out. We'll just see how we feel. This drive through Texas is flat and boring. I'm watching the weather to see if rain from Isaac will affect us. We called April to see if we can see the girls over Labor Day weekend and it looks like we will. We made reservations at a campground in Bryson City, NC; very close to where they live. I'm excited.

We will get to Atlanta hopefully by Wednesday and find an RV park. We may also have time to look for an apartment before going to NC for the holiday weekend. Once we find an apartment, we will store the RV and use it on weekends if we want to explore our surroundings. Lots of changes and excitement. I am really looking forward to autumn! We will fly home at the end of each month.

I took some pictures of the RV last night. They are attached. I also included the picture of the sign that Henna bought for Ken. I forgot to do that yesterday.
