...was without wifi so my blog entry is happening a day later. The day started with a hearty breakfast at McDonald's. Our jaunt across the panhandle of Texas was some of the straightest, flattest roads we've been on thus far. Mike says it gets his vote for the flattest, most boring stretch of road. I remember the guard rail, the little blue car (yes, most of the ones I remember were red), the gas pump and a bunch of those things!! Fun! Had not heard of this museum. Will have to go there if we ever get through that way again. Why were there two doors in the school? Boys and girls? or color....?

Two Doors
You know, that's a good question. I didn't see any explanation as to why. When you walked in, they had the classroom glassed off so you could see what it looked like. Desks arranged in two sections (left and right) with a big ol' pot bellied stove in the middle. Smaller desks in the front, larger in the back and a piano in the front right corner. Maybe the two doors were so students could get to their desks without having to go around the stove??

...where the wind comes sweeping down the plane. ???? No dear sister, it's PLAINS not airplanes!!! Oklahoma has PLAINS although I'm pretty sure they have airplanes too but not too much back when this song was penned!!!
