We had a 4 day visit with Art and Connie in Maumee. I spent 2 summers in Maumee when I was 14 and 15 years old. It was fun to go back and walk the area I was familiar with. Maumee is really a lovely town with some very old homes and a nice downtown preserving a lot of the old buildings. I walked each morning with Connie and 2 of her friends. They gave me a history tour of the old homes in area. Art, Dale and I spent a day walking the Highland Meadows Golf Club following the 3 leaders in the final day of the LPGA Marathon Classic Golf Tournament. What fun seeing these very talented ladies up close and personal. It made Dale and I realize what really amateur golfers we are!
