October 9 EVERY END IS A NEW BEGINNING Well, here I am in Bellefontaine, Ohio…probably my last blog for a little while. Arrived in Ohio on Oct 5 to spend time with my mom as she recovers from knee replacement surgery. It is a little bittersweet, I am glad to see my family after a 6 month absence, but I miss Yellowstone. Oh, and Jack of course! I left him there to finish out his work contract and bring home Providence and the jeep! He will head east on the 13th. For my last week, I was blessed to have the kids with me! Praise God, we have emerged from the death grip of an awful February- in terms of weather, that is- at least by southern Ohio standards. Dreary, cold, cold, cold, snow, ice…. Not much excitement or even leaving the house. I am definitely driven by the conditions around me (I guess I should work on that?). Sunshine makes me happy. Gray skies and dark clouds make me sad. Warm temperatures energize me. Hot and cold drain me. So, though nobody complained out loud, I was not pleasant to be around in February! So, when the great melt off of 2015 began, my sadness started running off like the river of water rushing down the driveway. It was in the 60’s yesterday and sunny, what a beautiful day. I have been so blessed to be able to retire early from my career, and that my hubby, Jack and I have the freedom to pursue some new things. My kids, Rob (26) and Cass (21) have both moved out. We are FREE! For our first grand adventure, we have applied for jobs to live and work at Yellowstone National Park. So many friends and acquaintances have expressed interest in keeping up with us through this journey, I decided to try my hand at a simple blog (I forgot to say in my intro that I dreamed of being a writer also.
