Here's where the story ends....Susan and I are home in Granville. We scrapped plans to travel through Argentina (we will go there in the near future though) and decided to return sooner to our friends and family. This journey that we call Peace Corps has been incredible and I thank all of you for following the blog and providing support during our service. 2007 Trip to Missouri and backJudy & Jeff We had a bit of shopping to do today and went in to Newark to find what we needed. After returning to the campground, we found out that our wonderful friends had planned on taking us to their nearby home for dinner tonight! We were pleasantly surprised and looked forward to it. The drive was only about 20 minutes and we got to meet their son and grandson, who live next door to them. The dinner was wonderful and totally relaxing in their home. The guys grilled the steaks outside and soon it was time to enjoy the whole dinner, which included baked potatoes, salad (with wonderful home made dressing) and a dessert that was so differently delicious. It was sort of an Oreo truffle! YUM!!! What a ... read more

This morning each of us had some things to do on their own. The guys made a trip to a nearby Radio Shack to get a few needed items. The gals stayed behind and did some things in the motorhomes and then again visited. When the guys came back, we all spent a laid back afternoon under our friend’s awning, just enjoying watching what was going on in the campground and relaxing. It was interesting to watch as many campers arrived for the weekend and got parked and set up. We decided to put together what we had brought for dinner and cook outside on the grill. This was a particularly relaxing day and the evening continued as we enjoyed each other’s company.... read more

We did a few housekeeping type things in the motorhome the early part of the day. Our friends arrived around noon. Although they had been at the Bounder rally with us in Berlin, we really didn’t get a chance to visit. That’s what we did this afternoon, under our awning, while enjoying some refreshments. When it was time for dinner, we decided to all go out to Miller’s Essenplatz, which is quite a nice Amish restaurant that our friends knew of. The location is near an unique building, which is the business headquarters of Longaberger Baskets. We returned to the campground for the rest of the evening via a drive around the area. Since this is an area they have lived in for years, they acted as wonderful tour guides. ... read more

This morning we packed up and left from the Amish area of Berlin, OH. We drove to Granville, OH to the Lazy River Campground, which is just to the East of Columbus, OH. This is a campground we’ve been to before with one of our Bounder clubs. We came here to spend a long weekend with good friends. We arrived a day early and decided to ride around and check out the area. The town of Granville is a very upscale town with interesting shops and restaurants. We also went to nearby Newark and had lunch. We came back to the campground and just relaxed the rest of the day. After all of the activities at the Bounder rally, it was nice to catch our breath.... read more

Relationships are interesting things. There are so many different kinds to be exposed to. Some people like to keep the person they are with all to themselves and not share that person with anyone else. This kind isn't normally very healthy as people, like animals, aren't used to living in cages. Some people share their feelings around anyone so that no matter who they're with they act the same around the person they love. For example, my parents generally seem to do this. No matter who is around they have their cute moments together that they don't feel too uncomfortable sharing with others around. Then there are those like Sarah and John, two friends that I just went to meet in Virginia. They normally sleep in the same bed and share everything with each other but ... read more
