It has been a very mild and snow-free winter at Pine Bay so far, but, predictably, as we approached time to leave, snowy weather returned. As we looked at the weeks forecast, it looked like Tuesday the 14th might be OK. We packed up the day before, and I took the rig out for a little shake down run. We're equipped for serious recreation with bicycles, kayaks, fishing equipment, and even snow skis! Everything seemed fine, and Cathy ran the snowblower to give me room to turn around in the yard -- we were all set to go.

We planned to shove off at 7:00 AM on Tuesday, and for once in our lives, we hit the mark. The roads were dry until Syracuse, but even there presented no real problems. Absolutely unbelievable weather for mid-Feb -- no snow at all in Buffalo, and green grass in Cleveland. We made it to our first days objective, Grove City OH, by about 6:30. We landed in a Cracker Barrel restaurant, had dinner, and crashed for the night. The new ventless LP heater, in conjunction with our DIY air exchanger, made the night quite comfortable.
