Another hot sunny day. We took the subway all the way out to Coney Island, which is about an hour's ride. We were amazed by the cheap ptice of $2.5 each. (and this with air conditioning and seats.)

Coney Island is NY's answer to Margate or Leysdown....but better. There is a great long sandy beach with a boardwalk running all alongside. People cycling, skateboarding and strolling along the boardwalk. Sands packed with bathers and kite flyers. Atlantic seems refreshingly cool on a hot day. Scary rides in Luna Park. Lots of stalls selling all the fast foods and icecream you can imagine. I have to say....this is what I call a seaside resort!

The only thing that is so so sad to see, is young men in wheelchairs, amputees and disabled, probably war veterans

You're on the beach, miles from anywhere and trying to take a selfie when a pretty woman stalker pops up. Gee Whiz ...!
