After a long 10 hours sleep, our confused body clocks woke us up at 6am. The overdramatic US tv soon made us get up and get ready for the busy day ahead. We fueled up on a breakfast of pancakes, orange juice and coffee before starting out on our walk to Times Square where we hopped on a bus tour heading downtown.

A few snaps of major NYC sights later, such as Statue of Liberty and Empire State, a well-deserved cold drink was needed. We then braved the heat once more and boarded the bus back up to the Rockerfeller Plaza for some more sightseeing.

A little bit of retail therapy was completed successfully as we made the most of the GAP aircon!! The afternoon was then spent at the MoMa (Museum of Modern Art) where we enjoyed a lovely little lunch and a wander through the different galleries. A short trip back to the museum has been planned for Friday evening in order to complete our tour which unfortunately didn't quite get finished.

As big as the world is, we happened to be in NYC at the same time as our first year roomates at UEA!! We therefore managed a little catch up session over yummy milkshakes in order to congratulate them once more on their recent engagement and find out what they've been doing since our uni days.

The day finished up with a sunset bus tour of NYC showing us some spectacular views of lower manhattan from across the bridge in Brooklyn.

Finally after a last walk back to the East Side and a delicious seafood dinner in Grand Central Station, we arrived back at our hotel exhausted but happy and looking forward to another fun-packed day tomorrow!! 😊

Slow Down
Hi Em, Remember you still have a few days to go! Take it easy, we're storing up the work for you in Javea! Hope you're enjoying life in the 'Big Apple', I'm just glad it's not me! At least I went over the new year when it was freezing and the snow covered up what you didn't want to see! Could you please buy something as a present for the Saracinos? You don't have to break the bank but not too 'Emma minimalist' either! After two weeks of great weather here it is just blowing up into a huge heat wave storm -and we're going to Alistair and Christine's for a barbecue to mark Alistair's birthday -hope we don't have to have it inside their house for 20 people! Okay, bye, bye for now, Take it easy, look after yourselves, Dad
