Some people may not know that sweatshops exist in America. People think that they only exist in other countries BUT America. Many people think of sweatshops as big factories and just controlled by horrible people; however, there are sweatshops in America and there are small sweatshops. An example would be the designer Alexander Wang. He is an American designer who works in New York. His fashion clothes and accessories are sold in more than 700 stores. In 2012 Mr. Wang was reported for running a sweatshop with a fine of $50 million. Workers were working for more than 25 hours straight which lead to a worker to be hospitalized. The workers had to work in an unventilated place with no windows. Workers, who were about 30, complained but nothing was done; however, as to the worker who was hospitalized, he complained as well and soon was fired from that job.
