Ok so we are still in NY and have seen some amazing sights - Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Ground Zero, Empire State building (Susie you were right!!!! - queue for hours and then its so packed at the top you are lucky if you can get to the edge for a look), done a boat tour of the whole island, visited museums, central park, used the subway loads and walked even more, best place so far the stone cold creamery lol yes we have been back for a second session! Had a bizarre meal at Mars 2112 - only recommended if you have kids with you! Went to the gugenheim museum and can only say what a load of .........., apart from the James Bond spiral walkway which was great!
Said goodbye yesterday to Looci who megabussed to Boston and we moved to a much cheaper but far nicer hostel - the urban oasis on 31st street - can really recommend this place!
Tommorow its 7 hours by train to Niagra - gives our feet a rest and can't wait to get there and see those falls!
