lunch
Ame, Casey and Kyle quick lunch street stand The weekend was great so we left for New York early Thursday morning for a long bus ride. The weather was great. I was very excited my first time in the big apple. The bus rolled and rolled everyone was sleepy and quiet because it was so early. Our tour guide introduce himself. It was great so We passed the boarders 2 hours later finally arriving in the state of New York everything went fine. For lunch we stopped in a rest area with little restaurants 70 students invaded the place up leaving it very crowded.
We finally arrived in the big city at around four and dropped off in the middle of Manhattan on 5th ave for a Dinner and shopping. It was wonderful all the gorgeous boutiques of fancy designers Alexander McQueen, Versace, St.Johns and more but of course I cannot forget to mention the Walt Disney store 😊 so we walked the streets of NY a little and wondered around never had seen in my life sidewalks so crowded with people and the bustling traffic on the street. My friends and I went in search of a restorent but with little success only found a street stand
City View
The Empire State Building infront selling hot dogs and pretzels I had nothing. (preferred to eat later.)
I walked back with kyle Casey and Amelie to St-Patrick's cathedral which was our meeting point the church looked beautiful too bad we could not go inside I was a little disappointed. Our Group Then headed off with the tour Guide to an observation stop on the city at the top of a big building. It was pretty the view was incredible I saw the empire state building which Kyle called the Eiffel Tower of NYC because he messed up the name well I was Great. We could see central Park which looked like a huge field in the middle of the city almost the only green area I saw. Yes it was green there was no Snow over there none at all unlike at home were the banks are still really high and snow still covers the ground. after sending sometime at the observation spot we headed off the the Ramada Hotel in New Jersey the Room was pretty and connected with Karen Danielle Ame and Tracy's room so that was fun. I took a shower when We got there the only problem with the room
billboards
Town Square. Miss and our awesome tour guide J-F was that the bath was cluged so Casey went to tell the guy at the front desk who came in with a plunger. Yes a plunger to uncluge a bathtub. I guess thats the American way of doing Things which I found Different is the word because thats not how we do it here. Usually one takes a product that cleans the drains but this wasn't the case.
The bedtime curfew came and teachers told us to get to are rooms so thats what we did. But with the famous telephones called are friends in the other rooms. Me, Rachel and Casey did a few prank calls to other rooms there was another group of Quebec tourists from another school who were staying there. We called them and Rachel met some guy. I her and Julie ended up sneaking out to Nicks room and spoke to them through the window for a While which was somewhat funny. Then We went to Juliens room to visit and finally a little later got back to our room. I stayed up all night chating with Casey and Julie- Anne and she tried straightening my hair with Rachels flattening Iron. At the 4

Tracy, Karen and Dan with our lunch in the morning. I had slept for an hour when we had our wake up call. We ate and left off for the day the weather was gray and the traffic was intense during the morning the bus drove around the City with our tour guide telling us facts and comments as we passed certain buildings and monuments. There is 664 lights in the Lincoln tunnel if anyone was wondering had time to count them all. After our tour we headed off the the south sea port for dinner. and stayed there a bit. We waled under the Brooklyn bridge and I took several good Shots of it. The bus then Dropped us off in town square. With lots of lights big billboards and advertisements. It was nice. A very different experience then home. There is so many people a lot of tourist like us and just people. I visited the Wax museum it was cool. We had some free time after then went off to the bus and headed off to the hotel. At around elven We ordered some American delicacy's fast food. lol. I hate it. I don't know how people eat that stuff. So I stayed up
Bridge
Brooklyn bridge a while and visit in Karen's room then went to bed. In the Morning We packed up and left for our last day in the City. China town here I come!!! We visited ground Zero, wall street and the famous Bull which stood in front of the New York stock exchange during the recession in 1920's. After Took a boat off to see Lady Liberty and Went around the island. China Town was next walking there was long it took a while from where we were. Finally having our free time Casey, Julie, Amanda Sarah-Maude and Anthony went in search of food stopping at a Burger King. After eating we looked at the shops a little I didn't like it it was too crowded with people. and different. A 1:50 we met up the group somewhere and off we went home sweet home. I like it better here. It's so much nicer. I'm not use to the city I guess but it is a worth while expirence. I was a little disappointed that we didn't visit many museums or anything like that> New Yorks a city with big convrast I guess like most big city. Last night lying in bed
water
City View from the boat my head still felt like it was moving from all the lights noise crowds, smells and images I had seen.
Now I'm home and very glad to be back in the middle of no where.
