Trying to Catch Up

Hi Folks,

This will have to be a short entry since now I am the sick one who is dragging around. We did hear from Henry and Lynn this morning and we are going to meet them tomorrow for a Governor's Island tour. We just got back, today, from Liberty and Ellis Islands and are waiting for a boyhood friend to meet us for dinner.
Yesterday we did our run out to Queens where we started the day with treats from the Lemon Ice King of Corona. Then we walked through Flushing Meadows-Corona Park to Mt Hebron Cemetery where we looked up and found (finally) the graves of Cindy Noonans grandparents and uncle, as well as the great granparents of a high school friend of mine who lives in Benicia. I was ready to give up after walking this one section for an hour in the hot sun, but I was determined not to leave before we found it. Tired and dehydrated we exited the pedestrian gate on main street and bought gallons of fluids at Supersol, a kosher supermarket, and then sat down next door at Naomi's Kosher Pizza
and felafel place. We walked down to the Jewel Ave bus stop for a short Q44 bus tour which dropped us at Hillside Ave and Sutphin Blvd. There was a bar on the corner that I believe was Izzy Redman's, a neighbor from 63rd Ave. If anyone can confirm that, let me know. We made it back home before I totally collapsed but I was too spent to do much of anything.
