Hello folks, back in the newsagents again. Having a relaxing day today as my feet are killing me from all the walking yesterday. I set off for The Village Tavern in Greenwich Village yesterday to see the Rangers v Osasuna game, took me about 2hours and think I walked across half the city! Took a bus down to 1st street but found I was in the East side of town, ended up walking across to the west side and into the deserted Village Tavern which had basketball on the tele. The woman behind the bar pointed me in the direction of another bar called Fiddlesticks. Got there but the only game they had on was the Spurs game. Few supporters in there so watched the football and had a drink and a game of pool with a few of them.
Seen the New York Knicks Vs Seattle Supersonics in 'the garden' (Madison Square) on Tuesday night. They were gettin humped all game until about the last 5mins when they made a come back and were winning with about 1minute to go when the knicks a took a shot, missed and the sonics ran up the park and scored to give
them the game, 100 to 99! The shouts from the crowd were "Lets Go Knicks... Lets Go Knicks" or if the other team had the ball it was "de-fence... de-fence..." Thought about standing up and shouting "moan the Knicks, lets get f@#*in in tae this shower o s#@*e" but it wasn't that kind of atmosphere so I thought a wee rendition of hello hello would do instead. 😊
Wednesday night I went to see a show on Broadway, Monty Pythons Spamalot, it was really good. Managed to get a ticket for $36, it was up the top but the theatre was really small so had a good view. It was just off Times square so had a look around the, amazing place with all the lights at night. Also went to Central Park which was covered in snow and had loads of joggers running about. Had a hot-dog from a street vendor, seen Carnegie Hall, visited Bloomingdales and Macys on Jeans orders, took a ride in a yellow cab, had hot roasted nuts from a street vendor and had a bagel with bacon, cheese and tomato for breakfast!
Hope everyone is well, happy birthday Dad and Davy.

Hi James, Great news from the Worlds greatest footballing city. CELTIC 0 - 1 RANGERS. celtic had the better of the 1st half but couldn't score Miller( k*ob) and the other one with the silly long name were rank rotten. 2 nd half different story celtic outplayed and a brilliant goal by Ehiugo, Super Sebo and novo tore that weak defence apart, should have been 2 or 3 nil. Boyd dropped(very poor in mid week ) Hope the hols going well sounds like fun, think you will enjoy it in Florida too. cheers, Dad.
