Well, I arrived in Syracuse late Sunday night and this is my first chance to get online. Now that I've finished reading the handful of emails I had I'll take a minute or two to wrap up the past couple of days. First off, I was a bit worried coming out on Sunday because my tooth was really bothering me and I wasn't feeling well. I had a root canal last Tuesday afternoon and it took a turn for the worse Friday night. Saturday was pretty miserable and I felt pretty rotten - I was just thankful Teresa came over that night and motivated / helped me pack. As Asstant Coach to Hobart and William Smith Colleges' Varisty sailing team, I'm gettin' in shape, I get chances to take boats out to enjoy that legendary Southerly breeze, LOVE to sailors on the team and Scott Ikle, the head coach, teaching a basic sailing class to beginners, have a great roommate and love the other assistant coaches, NO CLASSES! WHEW! Wegmen's, which is almost as good as Ukrop's ;-), travel every weekend to somewhere along the east coast... OH and there's a faculty/staff section of the dining hall with a separate chef and seating area. SO GOOD. Their desert table in there has about 4 different cakes and pies, cookies, pastries and more cookies everyday! Man the list just goes on ... read more

Many of you have asked why the blog has been so quiet and well I have actually been hiding out in the US for a week now surprising people with an early arrival all over new england. sneaky huh? last weekend i got a surprise when i was in bombay and decided to just check my ticket one more time to make sure my plans for traveling were okay. i looked closely and despite having an american airlines ticket home i realized i was flying british airways out of india. well they are on a massive strike with over 2000 flights cancelled and after visiting their office they informed me i could choose to be out on a flight in 2 days before the strike or see what happens...my adventurous self was quickly bound and gagged ... read more

July 25, started with our waking at 1:30 AM and driving to Calgary to fly at 6:00AM. That made a long day and sleep eludes me on the plane, or nearly so. The flight was smooth and uneventful. The car rental and driving out of Toronto went quite smoothly. We arrived at Niagra Falls about 2:30 PM (12:30 home time). After finding our room, we walked to the falls and took our Maid of the Mist boat trip. That was well worth the $14 tickets. See pictures. Tonight we’ll enjoy the lighted falls and a little more people watching on the ‘carnival-like’ streets. Our sleep last night was fabulous. We were soooooo tired but also walked many miles in Niagra Falls. Our pictures are numerous, and a few are exceptional. I'll try to ada few tonight. ... read more

A week from today I will be in Vermont to show my boyfriend, Jorge (AKA George), where I grew up. Next Wednesday I will be on my way to Mexico City with him, and from there we will take a bus to Puebla - the city he grew up in. I'll start blogging soon.
