Uncle Tim in his birthday present
not to be confused with his birthday suit So... first I must say that your family partied without you on Saturday. Well, to be fair we just went out in the evening and you got to spend it with Grandpa and Granny Roaldi! The Robbie Burns dinner is just one of the things that is going to get the label 'not until your older'. I just don't think that you would really appreciate the bagpipes, highland dancer, ang haggis. Heck there are people much older than you without an appreciation for such things! In any event, when you are allowed to join us you will at least be properly attired. The kilt that Murphy wore in Auntie Binky and Uncle Ken's wedding should fit you just fine. You'll be better outfitted than Mommy, she just wore a wool skirt and sweater! Anyways, even then you will still have to wait a bit before you can trade in your shot of ginger ale for the good stuff. I hear it is pretty good ginger ale though...
Auntie Binky and Uncle Ken and Gr. Grammy came in on Friday and your Auntie Binky picked us up and brought us over to Grandma and Grandad's house to hang out for a
bit. We visited with everyone and you met your Uncle Ken for the first time! I think he likes you though, don't worry😊 Auntie Binky tried to feed you bacon at one point, evidently she thought you had grown a great deal since the last time she saw you! Daddy joined us for dinner along with Mrs. and Mr. Schimley for a big happy crew! We also celebrated Christmas VI. You got a beautiful jigsaw puzzle and Auntie Binky made a beautiful cross stitch of your name. I'm sure if you are reading this it is already hanging in your room.
On Saturday we slept in and visited with Daddy in the afternoon, then Grandpa Roaldi came over and you got to hang out with Granny and Grandpa while we went to the Robbie Burns dinner.
On Sunday Mommy did not make any friends. You and Daddy were not happy to get up as early as you did in order to see off Uncle Tim and Auntie Binky and Uncle Ken. On the plus side there was bacon and flinces, oh are they yummy! Healthy? Not so much, but definitely yummy! Then we helped/watched while Auntie Binky and
Uncle Ken moved a bunch of stuff back to Boston with them. Mommy will probably wait awhile before she lets you help Auntie Binky move. Better yet, maybe Auntie Binky will be done moving by the time you are old enough to help. In any event, perhaps someday you will help move Auntie Binky into a 'home' or something, in which case remember: do not repeat any of the colorful language that you might hear, and if she starts throwing things, duck. I'm sure she will still have great aim. After they headed out we said goodbye to Uncle Tim as he went back to school. You have a special scream when you are unhappy that people you love are leaving. At least that's what we tell everyone.
In the good news department though, Great Grammy is here for the week!
So... On Monday she came over and we had bath time and played in our excersaucer and sang some songs. We showed her your bedroom complete with fish pillows and angel wings. And Shotzie came with her and played with the kittens a little. There seemed to be an easy truce between them. Characteristically Mena was just
interested, while Aphro was a little afraid and swelled up to make herself seem even larger. If that is possible.
On Tuesday Gr. Grammy came over and we went to yoga together. She got to meet your yoga friends and see you in action! You really liked the Super flying baby time and fought against any sitting activities in favor of standing instead. headstrong? you?
Wednesday we went over to stay with her and Shotzie for the day and watched movies with her and Grandma while Grandad was at band practice and Daddy was at the Sabres game. You screamed all the way home in the car and were a little bear to get to bed. I think you wanted to punish Mommy and Daddy for even thinking that they would be able to watch "Lost" late last night😊
Today Gr. Grammy came over and played again. We had the inaugural chewing on your monkey teething ring and some swim time with Mommy in the tub. Grammy has learned to wear things that easily wipe off for your increasingly infrequent spitting up, which is very good! Although Mommy is washing ALL of the sheets today because last
night's "bedtime Extravaganza" included spitting up on a number of beds and bedsheets, so.... yeah.
In other embarrassing news, the first hickey you gave Mommy is clearing up nicely and will probably be gone by this time next week😊
Alright, I'll write again soon!
