Getting out and enjoying the outdoors is always enjoyable around Santa Fe. At present, there is a regular Friday hike up Atalaya Peak that really suits our style. This is the second time we have done this particular hike and have enjoyed it both times.

We hike at a moderate pace..............no pressure to hike faster and always someone interesting to visit with as you head up and down. This time there were two women we had met on an hike we had taken up near the ski basin. Really did enjoy the pace we set for ourselves as we headed up and then down.

The one problems I see with this hike is the people that hike with dogs without having their leash ready to restrain them if people come near them or keep them from getting into a fight with another dog. Other than that, great time.
