We came to Albuquerque to visit my Daughter Cassie & Granddaughter Seaonna. Cassie told me that if someone would get her up in the morning we could take the shuttle bus out to the balloon fiesta park for the final launch of the fiesta. I got everone up on Sunday morning & we made it to the last shuttle bus of the day! We arrived just as the first balloons were being launched.
The Albuquerque Balloon fiesta is awesome. Most likely the largest event of its kind in the world. Albuquerque is an ideal location for this event due to "the box", which is a wind pattern created on the western side of the Sandia Mountains.
We had a great Visit with Cassie and Seaonna and a great time at the Balloon Fiesta. Afterwards we went to the botanical gardens.
