We drove 454 miles from Tahoe to Vegas - almost the full length of the state of Nevada. The red buttes and flat lands were a change of scenary. We were delighted to discover that our suite at Embassy Suites on Paradise Road had a 450 sq foot balcony overlooking a golf course and the city. Graycee ran around and checked everything out going from bed to couch to patio. All this for $129 plus a free breakfast! We are going to stop at the Grand Canyon today. Driving from Vegas to Flagstaff, Arizona, up to the canyon, back to Flagstaff, and on to Gallup, New Mexico (100 miles outside of Albequerque). Looking forward to driving over the new bridge at Hoover Dam. The driving plan is 556 miles. The trip is taking longer than planned because of surprise visits to Napa, South Lake Tahoe, and the Grand Canyon. Wendy is taking two more vacation days.,
