The road to Las Vegas dudes......

On the way to Vegas we stopped off at Hoover Dam; I am not really into Dams as a rule but this was quite spectacular; we walked over the bridge to look at it from both sides. We spent the next 2 nights at a campsite down the road from Hoover Dam at Lake Mead; we needed to chill before Vegas as all the walking and heat were taking its toll. We spent the time mainly doing nothing as it was too hot; we went swimming in the lake which was ace and drove to the petrol station for ice so that we could at least have cold drinks.

Sunday we headed to Las Vegas, stopping for a really cheap but great breakfast of steak and eggs just what we needed before a night on the town. The hostel was a good place to be as a lot of people all go out together; me and Dim probably got a bit too pissed before we went out; I would like to tell you what we did but can’t really remember but I know it was a good night. Dim reminded me of when I started to dance in the middle of this mall thing and then a few people joined in and then loads of people started clapping and shouting encouragements - cringe!! Dim and I went to a casino and I won a bit on black jack although we were both stood there hiccupping so God knows what we looked like! The next day we were seriously hungover and didn’t get up till midday.

In the afternoon we went to the pool at Wynn Hotel (very plush) with Michael from Israel and Alex from Romania; two guys we really got on with and it was great to chill for the afternoon. Dim and I spent the rest of the night taking in all the landmarks on the strip; MGM Grand casino, Caesars Palace, Luxor, Excalibur, New York New York, Paris; having a few beers and gambles along the way. We finished the night watching the beautiful water fountain show at Belaggio’s which was really spectacular, then all that was left to do was eat a big pizza and go to bed.

2 nights in Vegas = EXCELLENT!!!
