Ow. I have no idea how far we've walked in the last seven days - but it has to be more than 15 miles.

My blisters have blisters. My ankles are so swollen and they refuse to go down. Bah.

But Vegas is still fantastic. The Grand Canyon was absolutely breathtaking, and with a small amount of snow still on the ground - both on the sides of the road leading up there, and in the park itself, I was speechless. I was six feet away from snow - the closest I have ever been in my life - but the fences and sheer cliffs of the canyon prevented me from getting close enough to touch it. I did, however, capture what appeared to be deer prints in the snow 😊

On our second day here at the Luxor, we fell prey to TimeShare sales people (the Grandview) - with their promise of cashback in the form of vouchers and a free show. Now, we both know how to say "no", but I have to tell you, their offer was incredibly tempting. But we got through the five hour ordeal, and got $75 worth of hotel restaurant vouchers, vouchers for The Tournament of Kings (http://tiny.cc/u9qlS ), and a two day cruise to the Bahamas/Caribbean for our trouble. And no time share 😊

Tournament of Kings was spectacular. The crowd decide the outcome to certain parts of the tournament by how loud they cheer - and in the part where the visiting kings battle each other, our section (France) cheered the loudest, and the King of France won! (I even got a photo with him after the show ^_^) Thoroughly recommend this show 😊

We did the Stratosphere last night - nothing like hanging off the side of a building 900-odd feet up above the Strip. The view was gorgeous, but the reflections off the windows of the Observation area that overlooked the Strip prevented good photos, and the open air observation area did not have a view of the Strip at all.

Tonight we went up to Fremont Street for the Fremont Experience (http://www.vegasexperience.com/) - and the 10pm performance was a Queen tribute - it was absolutely fantastic. If anyone has never seen it, it is well worth the trip downtown...

So far we've got $1 chips from 15 of the 26 main Strip casinos, with 11 more to get tomorrow (um, later today, since it's 0235 on Saturday!) and Sunday morning before we travel to Anaheim.

So many people shook their heads when we told them we were spending 8 nights here in Vegas. They kept wondering how we would keep busy for the whole 8 days - I think now that 8 days/nights just isn't really enough to see everything, and do everything. We've had to give up on a couple of shows, and the rides etc at Circus Circus, but we should be able to make the Eiffel Tower at Paris, the Monorail, and the roller coaster at New York, New York tomorrow - fingers crossed...

Well, that's about the end of our internet access for today - I'll try and post again tomorrow night.

love,

Princess_kessie
