This gambling trip was a bit of a roller coaster. This will be longer as I will just put the gambling days all in one blog. Monday Up early to find some breakfast. Dave liked playing cards at the Roadhouse last time so we head in that direction. Roadhouse had no options open for grub. Walked over to Horseshoe. Breakfast at their buffet. Delicious breakfast and their omelette lady totally rocked it. Back over to Roadhouse as Dave wanted to find one particular card game - he didn't find it. I played through $20 but no luck. Also the vibe just wasn't the same there. We went over to Gold Strike. We had forgotten our player's cards so needed to get new ones. Found out we had $10 free play each. 7/27/13 - Rode around Tunica a bit, then played the slots a bit. Aleta won $41.50, but later played it away. Shelby T. put $20.00 in slots and played it away, later put $20.00 in electronic BlackJack and played for hours before loosing. Dakota stayed at the motorhome and watched TV while Briar rode with us and played in the arcades. Shelby T. fixed large lima beans, BBQ chicken, and bread. Jack and Barbara did one of the buffets. 7/26/13 - Leaving Hannibal, MO. to Sikeston, MO. We will have supper there, "The Home of The Throwed Rolls". They have three locations, Ozark, MO, Sikeston, MO, and Foley, AL. If you are near any of their locations, GO EAT THERE!! In St. Louis, MO we drove by the Gateway Arch. After Sikeston, we decided to drive on into Tunica, MS after having ice cream in Olive Branch, MS. Long drive, but made it fine to Sam's Town RV Park by Sam's Town Casino. Really nice full hookiup park at $17.xx per night. I did not realize how many casinos were in Tunica. There are like 10 different casinos here.... read more

Wednesday-August 22, 2012 Day 1 of our 5 day Great Race to Rewards (Harrah's summer promotion) trip found us leaving home at 7:00 A.M. and headed to Tunica, MS by way of Effingham, IL and Memphis, TN. We decided not to stop at Lambert's in Sikeston to be pelted by those delicious "throwed" rolls, but opted instead to enjoy that deep fried hamburger and side of fries at Dyer's on Beale Street in Memphis. So good! We arrived in Tunica around 3:00. We visited Harrah's, Fitzgerald, and Hollywood before checking into the Roadhouse for the first of our comped nights.... read more
