We stayed two nights at Ludington State Park to rest, unwind & and do some cleaning and laundry. The first night we walked down to the smaller lake and the kids all got in. Last night Ciara and I where sitting outside while the kids watched a movie ad a ratcoon was not more then 2 ft from us under our table.

This morning on day two here we took what started out as a small hike and ended up much longer. The hike took us over boardwalks, thought forests, hills and over many sand dunes so what was about 3.5 miles there took quite some time. There where all sorts of animal tracks in the sand. We where rewarded with our own private beach at the lighthouse, where we all got into the nice cool water and rested before heading back along the coast and back in another 3 miles. There are deer and chipmunks everywhere here and the kids and I are loving the down time.
