After working for about 10 hours, I was more than ready to make the 25 second commute over to the airport security (my office is located just down the hall) at the Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport. That security checkpoint marked the begginning to my journey to Michigan's Upper Penninsula. After a quick 3 hour flight including a 1-hour layover, I arrived in the charming Marquette Sawyer International Airport which is served by two airlines with a total of 3 flights per day. It's a nice quiet airport to fly into; but be aware that flights are almost always full which means that prices can be fairly high!
