Today has been spent with my mother, running errands and doing chores around the house. The only "tourist sight" that I saw is Wilson's Café. It is of interest because, according to my mother the historian, there has been a saloon in that building (or on that site) since the 1890s. Currently it is an inexpensive blue-collar bar and perhaps that is what it has always been. Mom got to talk briefly with the owner who agreed to be interviewed at a later date regarding what he knows about the history of the place. This evening my brothers and their wives will be converging on the family homestead and we will all go out for a nice dinner.
