We have loaded up the car with room to spare. Anxiety and excitement have been swirling since bedtime yesterday. We put the kiddles to bed with hugs and kisses and secret intentions.

Paul and I have been on a "24" marathon since last weekend. Season 1. We watched 6 hours straight last Sunday. We were absent parents for 6 hours. It's so good. Jack is crack. When you think you are in control and can say no, you can't. Just one more. Every night since, we've watched at least 2 more episodes before bed. Last night, we watched 2 more. We are up to 18, I think. We hoped to finish all 24 by the time we left but we didn't. Our drug of choice is hidden within a little black box with an apple on top. All we need is somewhere to plug in and we are good to go. Just knowing its inside that little Apple TV box is hard to bear.

So now we are on the long road leading us west...well, south first. Chicago is our first stop. We wanted to leave early enough to beat traffic into the city. We are staying at a Marriott using our points. Booked our parking ahead of time because the "Beast" won't fit in the Marriott garage downtown. Paul will have to park and walk a couple blocks. This is where women's lib can suck it. 😊 I'll care for the children and he can walk. heh, heh.

We may have a hole in our tire. I am freaking "tired" of dealing with our tires. It's tireless. It's entirely absurd. We have to get it checked out. I retire this topic for now. The cool thing is that OnStar can do a diagnostic on your car and tell you what is wrong.

I will update tomorrow on our Chicago adventures.
