20th August 2007 We had come to the last part of our planned trips. We were going to the Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. This was when the cave was privately owned and people could pay to have their name smoked into the cave walls!

In all national parks, to promote learning, they have a junior ranger program where children participate in activities related to learning more about the park and they get a badge in return. Varies a bit from park to park.

Did you know the reason these shots are called patel shots is because in the past the patels had a travel agency and they took tourists to all touristy spots and got them a photo with the nameboard :)

i think the mammoth is special for its sheer size than anything else. I am sure there are more beautiful caves formation wise. Anniversary annikku maamiyar and my samayal thaan :)
