I bought some travelers checks and ran some last-minute errands today for the trip. I photocopied my passport, vaccination record, and driver's license in case they become necessary. I also picked up a padlock, umbrella, a compass, a Spanish-English dictionary, and a couple of fiction paperbacks. All that remains to be done is to get everything packed up. My flight leaves tomorrow at 7:30 am, so I'm heading to bed early tonight. At this time tomorrow, I'll be in Isla Mujeres, Mexico at the Poc-Na hostel.
