In the article, "Japanese mayor: WWII 'comfort women' sex slaves 'necessary' for morale", this current event takes place in Japan, where women, back in WWII, were forced into prostitution. Back in WWII it was called comfort women, because the women we're there be put into prostitution for the soldiers at war. The rights violated are Article 1, 3, 8, 28, and 30 because having all these women be force into prosituition is against their will, hurt them emotionally, mentally and physically. I believe there are no rights protected in this event because it was unfair to women to be used against their will. I believe that japan should not have had 'comfort women' back then because it shows that women are basically a pet when really we are not. I think that women should be treated fairly and this article shows that back then women are not trated equally.
