Piracy continues to exist in the modern world today because of the type of people that are around. For example, people controling companies that are huge are in talk of privacy because they don't want their bussiness to get out. Piracy ,in my opinion, can sometimes be dangerous stuff because most important things are kept a secret, so if you "spill" its over. People are trying to fix the situations by killing and attacking people. I am not sure if it's the best way to handle the situation because it can sometimes cause a persons life, but other times people have it coming their way. It also depends on the type of situation and who people are messing with. I think that piracy (both during the age of exploration and now) can be justifiable because it can save a company ,but it could also lower a company(side). For example, The pirates could being doind something that is helping them out whle its not helping for the Americans.
