1. Piracy continues to exist in the modern world becaus of those who keep the pirate tradition going. In Somalia, the pirate economy has been expanding in recent years. These pirates continue to hijack hundreds of ships and nett millions of dollars

2. Piracy has seemed to change from earlier times of exploration because of the technology they have now. Modern day pirates are different from earlier exploration because of the advancement in weapons.

3. Authorities are trying to solve the problem by having createda trained fighting force to try and stop piracy. I don't think there are other solutions but trying to defeat them.

4.No, I don't think piracy is justifiable because what pirates do is wrong. They make a living off of others by stealing off of them.
