1. The passage talked about how the ritual of the Day of the Dead came to be. Spaniards went to Mexico and saw natives preforming the ritual. Now many ppl across the country take part in honoring the dead. It also talks about how the ritual has been preformed for thousands of years and how it changed but also maintained its true aspects.

2. My reaction to the passage was that I was interested. The reason being is because I didnt know alot about how the celebration of the dead came to be and how long the ritual or celebration was being preformed. It also made me think that how it changed was interesting becaus esome people add some of their beliefs into the celebration while maintaining the main aspects of it.

3. This can relate to what we are doing in class because we are learning how spaniards and conquestadorwent to new lands and adopted new traditions and discovering new things. They have braought back new ideas and kind of tied them into their own beliefs.
