Saturday afternoon we took the scenic drive around Lake Coeur d'Alene - about a 3 hour drive. Wonderful views of the lake, boats and beautiful properties. However, once again we noticed that many of these properties are for sale. Another indication of the economic climate here.
Sunday we did the Sunset Dinner Cruse on Lake Coeur d'Alene to celebrate Dwain's 71st birthday. What a perfect evening that was - calm, mild evening, delicious buffet dinner, and a close-up view of how the "wealthy" live. In many ways it reminded us of
Telico Lake in Tennessee where Ron and Patty live. The boat left the dock at 4:30pm in bright sunshine. Later we watched the sun set and just as we were pulling into the dock a beautiful full moon was rising over the mountain just behind the city lights. Unfortunately I need a lot more practice taking night shots but it is nigh impossible to keep the camera still enough on a boat!! So will will have to use your imagination.
