After a very windy and wet night (which I love, as long as I am warm), we set off for Yellowstone. On arrival, and whilst going through the East entrance, we were advised by the ranger not to go in, or over the pass because of the snow and ice! Not a good start...but we duly ignored the advice and set off anyway. Going over the pass was cold, but perfectly OK to ride, but my advice to any motorcyclist thinking of camping in Yellowstone is...don't! Because of the elevation, its all freezing, with snow in most places and windy most of the time. There are lots of people and the campsites were soggy, no hot water and uneven.
