Woke Up In Paradise this morning – How about you? Okay. Just kidding. Today was a loud wake-up from Kamie’s mom at 5am with a text saying his 101-year-old granny had passed away in her sleep overnight. We took showers and left for our 8am reservations at Pearl Harbor. Beach again

Super pool

I always passed this pool and went in one time but it was my least favorite - super crowded

We walked about a mile into downtown Waikiki Beach/Honolulu to dinner where we had reservations

There was a Starbucks on our walk and I checked out their cup selection. I am looking for a specific cup that I cannot find.

House Without A Key

Dinner restaurant. Super hyped and rated highly. Reservations required. Packed house. Was it an experience? yes. Would I go again? no. Drinks were $22 each and pushed hard (I don't drink any alcohol anymore and this lady basically forced one on me which I didn't drink). Food wasn't bad but it wasn't good. The bill was OUTRAGEOUS which we expect for Hawaii but we would eat at Cheesecake Factory in a day or two and the food would be half this price, delicious, and provide us leftovers for 3 more meals!!

It was full of crab and delicious but that one crab cake was $28. Just Sayin

Taro roll

We thought the taro rolls, which we had all over Hawaii multiple times, were just dry rolls that were purple. Nothing special. Maybe a tiny bit sweeter than a normal roll. Nothing to write home about.

I had a Sunset something and he had a Sunrise something or maybe vice versa? No drink menu so no clue what they cost. Later, we would learn, $22 each. Live and Learn

I HATE that he got that news while on vacation. I wish it could've waited until he got home so he could enjoy his vacation AND I am beginning to realize most men become cranky old men the older that they get!

LOL! i LOVE that you went on to enjoy as much as you could! I would've done the same thing. He is the ONLY person I know who doesn't like the beach!
