Down the street from the Scott's house
My first week in Hawaii has come to a close. I'm sure each week hereafter will fly by just as quickly as the first. The atmosphere here is so different from the Mainland; time is not especially priority here... people get things done at their own leisure and enjoy the scenery on the way. This kind of lifestyle would drive most Mainlanders crazy i suppose, but it's a pleasant temporary change.

After yesterday's entry, i went up to take a nap, say around 3:30... Dave woke me up around 6:15 so we could catch the sunset... but no lie, i could have slept through the night. I must have been extremely exhausted, huh? The sunset was pretty intense, but i think it's still holding out. I've been promised a wonderful view from the Hilton... I forget which nights were staying, but i'm out of my mind excited. I'll send a link to the hotel closer to the date.

Mom: in answer to your e-mail, i am eating very healthily, lol... i've been making fruit smoothies every morning - blueberries, fresh papaya, strawberries, bananas, guava, pineapple... anything that grows here basically, haha.. i can't say i've had anything authentically hawaiian
Stop SignStop SignStop Sign

Here's your stop sign, Krystal... this appears everywhere in the Parker Ranch territory
yet; but then again, i'm not too fond of spam. For real, they have spam everywhere here - why? Couldn't tell ya. Just fact. Oh yeah, i also went to the store and bought fresh ginger root, so i've been making tea... even got kathy hooked on it, we have it every morning. In summary, i'm doing okay... but it's not the same as home. PS i'm not coming back. JK 😊

Occasionally, people in the congregation bring extra fruit from their trees to give away... these, believe it or not, are lemons. Orange lemons. How do you know their lemons? I asked... they picked them from a lemon tree.
