On Monday, Pastor Jerald, Bob and I went to the Travel Clinic located within the Tender Care Clinic in Greensboro for our final round of shots. Health Education Director Pam Luke and another member of the clinic, Brenda Oulsnam, were wonderful in providing us detailed information on what we needed to protect us from the diseases we will be facing on the island of Luzon; most notably, Japanese encephalitis, malaria, and typhoid, along with a number of lesser water and mosquito-borne illnesses. The other members of the team, Lesley and Lenny received their inoculations in their hometowns.
