The PickersThe PickersThe Pickers

Cory & Sam & Lulu
It's winter...no matter what part of the country you are in. The temperature just varies. Some folks woke up to frost on their pumpkins north of us here in Florida. Cory checked with our serviceman first thing this morning. Our RV was finally being painted today. BUT...he also mentioned something about our new wheel rim being scratched!!!! What does this mean....can't be anything good. Crap! We left a message for the foreman to call us and we headed off to the Webster Flea Market to lick our wounds. It is about an hour's drive North...temperature was 42 degrees. The foreman called when we arrived. Here's the story and situation: there is a very small ding on the edge of the wheel rim from that terrible hidden rock. We didn't even notice it but the insurance appraiser did and said that it would be replaced..fine with us. The rim was sent to Lazydays weeks ago but they just now looked at it (does it surprise us....never - we have lived a month at Red Bay, 'member?). Freightliner sent it damaged: scratched. On top of that, the design doesn't match our other rims....they don't make that rim anymore. Yikes! Crap! Our options: order
What's That Horses's NAME?What's That Horses's NAME?What's That Horses's NAME?

Lulu wants to ride "Sandy"
another rim that still won't match ( another week of waiting), take our rim off and send it out for repairs, do nothing and our deductible is reduced. After talking it over and confirming it poses no safety issue, we opted for the "do nothing" choice with the understanding that if there was any problem later on, we could get it replaced (still a different design, though). Good Grief....our lemonade is tasting a little sour now.

Our day at Webster was a good one. We found some real treasures which also included our good friends, Sam & Sandy. We knew they would be "in town". It was so nice to spend some time with them even though it was brief. I said it seemed like we have been confined to an asylum and were allowed out on a day pass - we still had to go back to the asylum. We also saw a couple of our dealer friends who had set up their wares. So good to see some familiar faces after having resided with strangers for a week now.....at the asylum....where we all are a little wild and crazy.

A week of ramming around has worn
Painted!!Painted!!Painted!!

Almost done
me out. I haven't obtained my goal of becoming stick size though...rats! We need to leave here just to get some rest. We have seen and done so many fun things....but enough is enough. Yawnnnnn.....Our completed paint job looks perfect. They still have to put some side lights back in place. We also want the leveler checked. Be still my heart: our departure is on the horizon. Pray that they find no big problem with the leveler and we'll be good to go. When? Soon but not sure how soon. A day, maybe two?? At least, it hasn't been a month like you-know-where (R B).
