Well its 4 weeks till we (famly and I) are on the plane and heading over the big ocean to Walt Disney World in Orlando with a side trip to Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. I can hardly contain my excitment - only 3 more weeks till my holidays officially start. This holiday has been 18 mths+ in the making, originally starting out as a west coast (USA) odyssey and then becoming a east/wst coast road trip (no car - we'll fly), thanks to my very undestanding wife. This all came about from the fact that we (well mostly me - huband) have been promising our daughter a trip to disney land for like ever (since she was 5). From an age perspective, the timing seemed righ't for her now ... as she is in grade 6 of primary school and will be heading to high school next year - basically I think she is old enough to remember this holiday but young enough to still want to go (with mum and dad) and be excited by all things disney. Me on the other hand ... I am just a big kid - going on the other side of 40 and still feel like a teen (well in some respects). I still have very fond memories of my first and only trip to Disneyland Resort in anaheim - well over 15yrs ago now - I had the most awesome time. I'm counting down the number of sleeps now - and we have almost everything done and ready to go - only a couple more transfers and restauarant booking to go. Well thats it campers for this blog entry - until next time.

Only travelling for 6 weeks!
Lets see, we have booked the flights, booked the hotels, booked the cars (well almost all the cars), booked the restaurants, booked the activities, brought the tickets to the theme parks, water parks and dolphin swims. We have shopped for the suitcases, sunscreen, travel first aid (and blister) kit, all got new walking/water shoes, made sure the passports are valid, applied for (and been granted) the visa’s, bought the special liquids bottles for the hand luggage, got the travel neck pillows, been to the doctors and got the jabs and the letters (well most of them) to carry our meds with us. We have the bug repellent, the travellers cheques, the cash and the credit cards. The freezer and fridge are full for our house sitters and the animals have plenty of spare food. The insurances are updated (including the travel insurance). Have we forgotten something? Probably! That’s OK, we still have 4 weeks before we leave the country and you would think that we were going to 6 months instead of the 6 weeks. Oh well. More from me as time progresses.
