At lunch, the Heroes and Heritage Foundation recognized the outstanding and courageous efforts of Manuel Perez Garcia. Perez Garcia was a WWII Veteran (98 years old). He served the United States military with dignity and integrity, and answered the call of duty and service to our country. He has won numerous service awards including 3 purple hearts.

There is no greater call for a man or woman to serve in the military of a free nation. Perez Garcia is a hero not only to the Latino community, but also to the United States. Congratulations to Manuel Perez Garcia! Thank you for what you have done for all of us.
