GUENTER Guys
Tim, Conner, Cory, Cory, Fox, Shenen Friday brought forth the finale to our family reunion. The three remaining families headed in their different directions on various transportations. Fortunately, we all can stay virtually together through this blog....just as we do with all of you.
Before this sad and unwanted farewell, we managed to have some more family time together. After another evening visit to Old Town so one more of the grandsons could endure the horrible "sling shot" ride .... why, why do they put themselves through this torture...why? Once that sickening anguish ended, the guys all walked back to our RV. It's a wonder that Fox & Shenen didn't have to be carried back following their terrifying experience being shot a million miles into the sky!
As they strolled back together, it dawned on them exactly what was represented in this group formation. All the male family members with the Guenter name were together at one time! WOW! I grabbed a historical picture of them! Tim, Conner, Cory, Cory, Fox, Shenen GUENTER .....wonderful! P.S. Just in case, FYI...you pronounce our last name as "Gen-ter" ....like Center.
As super hero fans, the guys had to see the new movie: Batman & Spiderman. They loved the
Old Town Rides
The bad Sling Shot! What we see from our RV. theater at the Artegon mall.....they could recline completely in full relaxation. We passed on that movie.
The afternoon provided one last pool day. The sun did a little better this time showing itself. It's been a snarky ball of fire this entire week plus. They all have more color than me and I've been here 3 months. I still have to visit my dermatologist, 'member?
Cory & I were still at our motor home getting things picked up outside. OMG.....another frightening event. What's going on here? As Cory was covering up our outdoor chairs, on the tarp, another disgusting "Freddy the Frog" reared its ugly face! Yikes! These are big tree frogs cause they seem to stick tenaciously to whatever it is on. I kept poking it with a stick until it sprung as high as the "sling shot" ride over to our neighbors site. Good riddance and don't come back! Ugly Prince! Even Lulu is repulsed....and she loves everyone and everything.
Once over to Cypress Harbor, the family grouped up and we headed out for one last supper. The grandkids wanted gift shops to complete their vacation so we selected Chili's on 192 to satisfy our
What's this?
Fox is trying on a Poop head! hunger and to be close to the trinket shops. Fox drove Shenen & the girls across the street to the big Flea Market building. Here they could find every touristy babble one could desire. Of course, the "Homer Simpson clerks" are more than willing to fill your bag with their wares. They are pushy! Been there, done that!
The rest of us gathered back at the RV. Sandy, Sam & Mike came over for one last visit with our off spring. The closing moment came quickly when we had to say our "good-byes". I hate those times. But the good times have to end for now as they are called back to their homes and jobs. With mist in our eyes, we wish and wave them a farewell for now. Safe travels to each one of them! Lulu waved and waved (the best she could...no arms) as each one loaded into the car and drove off into the distance. Sniff, sniff, SOB! Slobber!
It was a perfect time; a wonderful time having most of our family down here with us. At home, we are able to do a day (or two) celebration with them over birthdays and holidays
Fox
Perfect T-Shirt which means so much. But to have such an extended stay with them, is the very best and to be cherished forever.
We love each one of you very much! Friday, Cory picked Tim & Conner up at 4:30 AM....yes, AM! He drove them to the Orlando airport to get their flight back to Rochester, NY. They had a lay over in Baltimore and still ended up at home in the mid morning. Amazing! Nap time for them. From the airport, Cory went back to the condos to get the next family up and going. Cory, Fox & Shenen left in early morning to drive back to Conover, N.C. We anticipated they would encounter very heavy and delaying traffic as EVERYONE else is also traveling north at this time. They took various highways and made good time arriving home around 6:30 PM. I am NOT going to even inquire what the speedometer read on that snazzy Mustang. I won't, I won't!! Kim, Jim and the 2 Haley's drove to the Orlando airport mid morning and they were back in Rochester, NY by early afternoon. The miracle of flight! We are grateful that they have all made it home safe
At the Batman movie
Relaxing in the seats and sound. It was a wonderful time, family. See you, again, soon. Take care of yourselves. And thanks for the memories.....
Time to do some housekeeping chores. Finding spots for their unused items that couldn't be packed. Tricky cause our place is packed to the gills already. But, where there's a will, there's a way. Done! So what if their cereal is packed with the electronics....it will get home.
And we hope all of you are doing okay, too. Of course, there's always room for all of you. Our extended vacation continues. Not ready to see New York yet. Grab a drink and a snack.....there are more places to go and things to do. You know the routine....this isn't your first rodeo.
