It's coming together nicely. Cory is so patient with my whims to bring half our household stuff from home with us plus all the lawn decorations that I have collected over the years. He always says he has NO MORE ROOM but somehow he gets it all in. I did try to thin things down but there is still enough to fill a warehouse. I always like the place to look busy and festive. We have returned to a small dining canopy WITH LIGHTS on our patio! We'll use it when needed....right now, Cory has it set up like the 19th hole on a golf course with his clubs stored and bar tables set up. It may become his man cave. We putter along and then break to visit with our friends.....more fun than working. I did thin down OUR stuff a little bit inside the motor home....I still have stuff but there are a few, small, empty counter spaces....time to buy new treasures. We did go out to Camping World and Wal-Mart for some items but all necessities. We needed a new patio rug from Camping World. The rest of our needs were gathered up at Wal-Mart. I love this
Great Site
This site is bigger than our previous. Can pull our car right in front, straight on. Wal-Mart: huge and just down the road a bit. Last night was our anticipated, jolly ritual Monday Night together with Sam & Sandy. We used to watch "Dancing With the Stars" on one TV while the guys watched "The Pickers" on the other. Neither were on last night but it doesn't matter...we spend all the time laughing and chattering anyway. Tammy came down and joined us. She is so funny and has the best wit ever. She and Gord just got married 5 months ago so she is one happy gal! We are so happy for them both. She's one of my best blog follower fans.....Lulu loves her.
Today was Tuesday morning coffee at the Clubhouse. It was so nice to see our friends that we haven't seen since last April. Talk about a home-coming! Everyone is so happy being back together. The special event today at coffee was a Christmas gift exchange. They tried it earlier but not enough of the clan had arrived at the park. Today was like a rally attendance. The activity director read "The Night Before Christmas". Each time she read the word "left" or "right", we would pass our gift in that direction.
Lulu is Ready
Looking for all the outdoor paraphernalia The challenge is remembering what is your left and what is your right. Last year, they said Sam had 3 gifts on his lap....what can we say. The reading had some extra lefts and rights added in so we were swinging our arms through the whole thing. It was fun and we ended up with 2 nice gifts.
Lois and Mike visited today. They are the folks who always lived on the site where we are now. This year they moved to another park (with a Tiki Bar) out on Rt. 27......not too far away. We will miss them at this park though. They are great people. But we will definitely go visit them and they said they would come back again......we will always leave the light on for them. They are also faithful blog followers. Lulu loves them! Jeff stopped by and added to the merriment. His birthday was yesterday. Happy Birthday, again, Jeff. You don't look a bit older than you did two days ago. Jeff and Judy are married....I've already introduced you to Judy. Judy is sweet and soft spoken. Jeff is sweet and not soft spoken. Sometimes he speaks like a steelworker (because he was
Sandy and Sam's Brand New RV
2015 Tiffin Allegro Bus...one big beauty! one)....Cory and he have that in common. You are never sure what Jeff will say but his conversations are so funny and colorful. Lulu just pinches her ears shut when some the words get too colorful and descriptive. I have to admit, while working as a nurse, I did hear this verbiage when the patients or public got too upset so I don't really have virgin ears. After, Jeff, Lois and Mike left, our Canadian friends stopped by. Their names are Winston and Sharon. A super lovely couple. Somehow I am going to have to take a photo shot of each of these people so you can meet them all individually. I tell them about you so you really have to meet each other. There are Good Ships and Wood Ships but the Best Ships are Friendships!
The company, Dazzling Detail, is here right now. They wash and wax our RV and car. They do a beautiful job. You would think the vehicles were new when they get done Cory was all set up outside when they called and said they could do us today...originally, we were getting it done next week. We are happy to have it done
Our Friends
Jeff, Cory, Mike, Sandy, Lois.....Sam showed up later. He likes to make a big entrance. early. Cory tore down our setup outside and will put it all back after they leave. Sad I bring so much stuff....this isn't what Cory thinks is the most fun but he'll forget the anguish in a day. The workers cruise around the park almost daily looking for new rigs that have pulled in and could use a cleaning. Most of them do. They have a very good business. We have used them for years...since coming to Tropical Palms.
Another day in Paradise. I wish I could blow some of the warm weather to you in the North. It just doesn't seem fair. We all say "what a small world it is" but not small enough to all have the same weather conditions. But at least you can keep the warm fires going and stay inside if it gets too bad. When we have to be outside...we have bugs....I guess we all have our lemons......just have to figure out how to keep turning it into lemonade. Looking to catch up with all of you soon....probably tomorrow. Lulu is hollering to make sure I told you, she says "Hi". Now, you would definitely think she was soft spoken cause her
Raindrops Falling on My Head
Being washed and waxed by Dazzling Detail. Lulu watches every second. mouth can't open. She still makes a scene. Shut up, Lulu. They can hear you! ?
