Since the weather these past few Mondays has not been cooperative and conducive (RAIN) for trolling the Webster Flea Market, the flea marketing foursome fled to the Auburndale Flea Market for our fix. It is a bit more rugged than Webster but still draws a big crowd. It has a good produce section. Lulu insisted she was not going to miss this escapade and as you can see, she made the most of it. Show-Off! My big purchase was a magnetic bracelet. Diane has one and swears by hers...no back pain since wearing it. What harm can it do? I haven't notice any improvement with my occasional aches & pains but I haven't worn it very long yet. It's attractive so that makes me feel better. Time will tell with my afflictions. It only cost $12 so if it works, it will be priceless. If not, I am only out the $12 and still have a pretty bracelet. Trying to squeeze in all our desired plans for this winter vacation, we sped down the highway to Plant City to indulge in the sumptuous strawberry shortcake at the Parkesdale Farm Market. This place is unbelievable as are their various strawberry delights. You

Gowns & Bras really have to see them and try them! Lulu started woofing mine down before I could even take the picture. Pig Girl! Skimming along the highway, all full and happy, we came to a squealing stop as we spied a place we had added to our bucket list for this season: The Catfish Place. Figuring the shortcakes had kind of digested, we found our seats inside this delightful restaurant. We HAD to go here (we had been here before a long time ago) because Sam said they had hash brown potatoes to die for. We will surely die with all the food we are inhaling. Of course, in a catfish place, I ordered just that. It is soooo good. The shrimp that Sandy & Cory ordered was mouth-watering. AND, Sam was on his mark again......the hash browns were super. Of course, when I tried mine, Sam was watching me so intently like Sherlock Holmes. So I pretended they were making me gag, upchuck, puke, vomit, hurl and deathly ill....grabbing my napkin to my mouth with horrific retching sounds. Poor Sam was shocked....Sandy, her big eyes even bigger, said I must have gotten a sour potato.....even Cory was checking my need
Two Men
With 2 messages for CPR. Bazinga!!.....I got them good! LOL. If we didn't laugh through these meals, we wouldn't be able to burn up those few calories I told you about before....very few! Food Consumption seems to be such a main part and function with our travels. It's almost like we are still on the cruise....just not being spoon fed by Jose. Rats! Sam & Sandy invited us to join them for dinner with their friends, Bev & Ed, from Haines City. They live just up the road from Manny's Chophouse. We love that place so we were excited to go along. It was a great evening with a "top of the line" meal. Of course, we seldom go anywhere without a "happening". Sam was going to the restroom so Cory, being helpful, held the door for him. There were two entrance doors. This must have been the cause of the "happening". Sam got where he wanted to go when a lady passed through the same doors and hollered "what is he doing in here?!! ....get him out!! Obviously, the threshold he had crossed, with Cory's guidance, was into the Ladies Room! Cory explained Sam was his friend....the woman bellowed to Sam that

How about more dresses? he needed to find a better friend! "There are Good Ships & Wood Ships but the Best Ships are Friendships!" After pulling themselves together, and getting all things straightened out.....we were invited back to Bev & Ed's RV. Bev, so kindly, attempted to show both of us how to knit a gorgeous scarf that she was working on. I used to knit until my cold, dead fingers had to be uncurled and pried from my knitting needles. Then, after years and years of knitting, I just stopped. Kind of like when Forrest Gump just stopped running. I think I over saturated myself with knit, purl, knit, purl. This trial to knit again was almost exhilarating. The touch of the yarn, the needles in my hands, the count of the stitches.....what memories flooded back! Whoosh! It was trickier than I thought - proving "if you don't use it, you loose it". I remembered the technique but struggled with the application. Saw a similar finished product being sold at the flea market for $10..... worth every cent after knowing the arduous work that went into creating this gorgeous neck wear. While in the area, we found ourselves close to a community where
One of a kind car
A definite collector.....saw this car last year also former Tropical Palms friends had bought a house & moved. Using our trusty GPS as well as actually asking directions, we finally located our friends, Paul & Gloria. They were surprised to see us and graciously invited us into the lovely home. They have a beautiful place and seem very happy with their transition from RV owners to Florida home owners. It was great to visit with them! Now, jumping ahead and all around because I have not stayed on course with this blog. I was so much better when I did a daily blog even though you knew there were times I was searching for something to say. Well, kind of....somehow I always managed to overcome that hurdle and did not lack for too many words to fill the paragraphs. I can hear you you saying " We Know!" Sandy bought an Ipad Mini....nice device! She signed up for free classes on it at the Apple Store inside the Florida Mall. Her 2nd class was about the Icloud. She wondered if I wanted to join her....oh, yes! I really didn't understand the "cloud" so was glad for this opportunity. We were the only two in the session which was
Snow Cones, Trinkets and
Strawberry Shortcake at Parkesdale nice. The instructor was excellent.....very clear and informative...and patient. We are going again this week for the session on photos. I will like this as I use that part of my Ipad alot so the more I can learn, the better. Cory and Sam found themselves making friends with the M&M guy at the M&M store. At least, that big M&M couldn't be eaten. One less thing to add to our food quota. Hoping the sun is shining and bringing warm weather to you. M&M's to all.....
