We have water! Finally! Remember how we told you about our broken water system? We’ll, it’s not broken anymore. We have water….yes, water..I’m repeating myself. Tom, from RV Force, came and fixed our problem. Yay for Tom! Cory had ordered the needed parts from Tiffin so Tom could fix everything right then and there. Hooray! We tend to take so much for granted. Once it’s not there (like H2O)…..woweeee……you really appreciate what you had. Now we can shower and wash clothes in our RV. We don’t need a bucket of water to flush the toilet. We can use our sinks again. Oh, happy days! Water, Water, Water everywhere.
Today, Driver Cory took us on a little jaunt. We went to the Mill Creek RV park on Michigan Ave. It is at this park that the last batch of TP Sandcastle cottages have been moved. We had been here before when the first group of cottages from Tropical Palms were moved to this location. It was close and tight then. It’s really close and tight now. It was hard to figure out what they are going to do with all of the cottages as some seemed to placed here, there and
yonder. They’ll figure it out, I guess. Our day was completed by a visit to Harbor Freight and our bestie: Walmart! Love Walmart!!
We saw the movie Cry Macho at the theater…..the one with the comfy lounge chairs! The movie was good. Had Clint Eastwood so Cory was happy. The next movie we’ll see is the Tammy Faye one….looks like a goody. They changed the name of the “mall” the theater is in to Dezerland.” There are many fancy cars on display throughout the vast expanse of this place. They have an auto museum to go through with a ticket admission. We refrained. There is an axe throwing place called Axecelsior. Something for everyone. They have a huge go-cart area where the carts seem to glide along at fast speeds. They had many other enticing things to do….but not so much for Seniors such as ourselves. We left.
Something new for me! I’m driving our car down here. Yes….so watch out! I’m preparing myself for when Cory has his knee surgery and I have to drive us home and then back and forth to the Celebration hospital for his physical therapy. We were able to get him all
set up with Miranda (PT). She is who I had for my knees and she is terrific. I drove to the drugstore, too. We have to get Cory some meds after his surgery (knee replacement, ‘ member?). And I drove to the doctor’s office. Easy Peasy……I have it down pat. Cory only grabbed the dash one time. Baby….
As we leave the roadway from our park and enter onto the main highway of 192, there is a homeless woman living at one of the corners. There are many homeless people all over down here. She is poorly dressed wearing some type of diaper garb. It rained so she stayed dry by putting herself inside a plastic bag. As you can see, on the sunny day, she noted me taking her picture. HELLO! Pathetic!
Cory and I stood on our bathroom scale….yikes! Our results are far more than from the pandemic situation. It’s from enjoying eating out and eating anything and everything! Time to change. We have started walking and swimming. Cory does a second walk without me. One is enough for me…it’s so hot here! Hardly anyone goes to the pool…..for now anyway. That will change soon enough.
On occasion, it has only been Cory and me. Nice! I’m going to use the workout center at the hospital when Cory is at his physical therapy sessions. It must be done! If not, I’ll have to wear a name tag cause folks won’t recognize me. Plumpo…that’s what I’ll be called.
When at the hospital to set up Cory’s PT, I took a picture of some unique and beautiful flowers. Have no idea what they are but they lined the sidewalk. They looked almost animalistic. What do you think?
Last Saturday, we went to the Auburndale flea market. It has always been just kind of so-so. It isn’t even that anymore! Junky! The best part was the walking exercise we did. Of course, that was kind of defeated after we stopped at the Lake Alfred diner. Such good food there…..yummy. We’ll be back! To the diner…..We even stopped at an antique shop just down from the diner. It looked so interesting and it was but we bought nothing….out of the business, remember? I used to collect cloth advertising dolls so had to take a photo of theirs.
Sunday is football game day in our RV. It’s always
the best time when the Buffalo Bills are playing. Cory will watch any football team. He loves football. I only watch the Bills with him. Go Bills. We have made this day Pizza Day…..diet or not. While back in Shongo, we really couldn’t find a good pizza anymore. Well, that has changed now that we are back here at TP. Up around the corner is a Pizza Hut. Hallelujah! Best pizza ever! In New York, most Pizza Huts have closed up. So we are in our glory now. Bring it on, Baby!
Our park has a new security company. They are very official and competent. They even wear shiny, silver badges! There is a security car that cruises around at night keeping us safe. This is good.
Can’t close with out mentioning our two great- grandsons, Henry and Luke. Henry is going to be one year old on October 4th. Happy Birthday! He just had his first haircut. Can you see his great personality in his picture? He is so cute! Luke is 4 months younger than Henry. Brittany and Al just had some family photos taken by a photographer. They were taken at the new house and
property that they recently bought. Wish I could show all of them to you. They are wonderful. Isn’t Luke just the sweetest? Such a cutie!
Done! For now anyway. We’ll be back so keep your eyes peeled for our next blog email announcement. Oh, happy days! Look at the 19 photos.

Relating to being without water, etc
One winter long ago our well went dry in Hallsport. It was ages before we were able to get a new well drilled and very challenging to live without running water. I took showers at the hospital where I was working, Galen hauled in water or snow to flush the toilet and I was glad we didn't have kids yet. I can sympathize with you about the lack of water. You take it for granted until you don't have it! I liked the cottages you pictured. We had a cottage with an addition on it at a park in Zephyrhills. We enjoyed it. Good wishes to Cory with the knee surgery. I am scheduled for a lumbar laminectomy on October 11th.
