You really wouldn't expect it in the middle of a city!
A bit of Bob Marley for those who didn't already know! Finally on a free computer so managed to notice I had an unpublished blog entry from NY. It should be there for all to see now, not sure why it didn't go up to begin with?

So, Florida now and we're in a hostel in Ft. Lauderdale. Got a greyhound down yesterday from Orlando (will do another retrospective on that asap, hotel had internet, but it was $12 an hour!) Arrived yesterday evening after a 5 and a half hour journey. Starting to get used to that though so I didn't mind too much. We figured we'd walk to the hostel as it was only about 15-20 blocks, but didn't realise how awkward a city this was! There are rivers ect running through it EVERYWHERE so you cant just walk where you want in a straight line, had some luck though. We passed a couple walking a couple of times and they must have realised we were struggling so they offered us a lift which was nice (don't try this at home kiddies!) They were very nice and were telling us what was worth seeing ect and took us

A View From The Bridge
Passed this every day on the way down to the beach. The cruise liner was HUGE!on a slight detour down what they called 'Peacock Road'. Turned out it was a road in the middle of the city and there were dozens of peacocks just strolling around. It was bizzare but amazing to see.

They were nice enough to drop us off at the hostel though so we got here safe. Hostel is nice and convinient for everything although I think we're in a girls dorm? They seemed suprised to see me (there were only two of them) but i think its ok, its not my fault after all.

Sounds lovely!
Hi Aaron - I always seem to be sending messages via Vicky, so thought I'd send one direct! Glad you're both at Ft Lauderdale safe and sound. Sounds like you're having a brilliant time, love Diane xxx
