Just Another Winters Day in FLA
The View of the Island Natalia live on from a dock Welcome to 2009!
What the heck happened, one minute I was in high school the next it’s going on 9 years later and I’m getting married!!! I remember Y2K and all the millions we spent on making our computers compliant mean while they all went out of date the next day anyway and we had to upgrade. But alas we have made it this far but still the world seems to be getting crazier! Oh well just more reason and need for us to spread the Word and be a light!
Just thought I would pop you all an update to let you know what is up as I never seem to be in one place for too long, and to let you know what God is doing in my life. This last few months has been a very trying and yet very blessed time! Since finishing “official YWAM outreach to SA” in October and my beautiful fiancé leaving for her home shores I have been looking for work. However I picked possibly the worst time of the year and the worst time in world history to start that expedition! However God seemed to have His hand in all of

We like to laugh! this along the way…
Tested and Blessed
Whilst searching the web and scouring the finger staining pages of the Classifieds and the Jobmail publication I received word from my lovely fiancé that a dear friend and mentor of hers had offered, out of the blue (if anybody knows where this saying came from please publish it on the internet!), to pay for me to go to Florida and visit Natalia before we get married in July. So after jumping around and screaming like teenagers after drinking Spar Letta products and eating cheap hot dogs, and praising God, we booked tickets for me to go and visit her for 19 days over Christmas and New Years. WHAT A BLESSING!! And such a lesson for the both of us and especially me as the man.
God provided first for me to see my fiancé so that we could have some chill time together and work on our relationship before He provided me with a job. This was of greater importance to God. I learnt that my wife and family are infinitely more first on God’s priority list than my work, even if my work is full time ministry and Kingdom building.
Natalia's Mom's House
It is literally 20m from the beach! It is more important for me to build the Kingdom of God in my home first than it is to build the Kingdom of God in the field, or to keep up my image in my career! What a lesson to learn, and something I needed to learn early on as I am one who tends to get a bit passionate about working and teaching.
WOAH!
So on the 19th of December, I headed off to The US of A, to see my fiancé (that rhymes by the way, didn’t even do it on purpose, just happened)! It was so AWESOME to see her again, I cannot even explain, but what I can say is, “I have done well!” I have found the most incredible woman on earth. Sorry to all you who think you snagged the best girl on earth; I have indeed found the Pearl of all woman.
We had such a blast. We hung out with her ballie at his farm for two days and canoed up the river, planted trees, made a fire and looked for fossils in the river (I found a mammoth’s tooth, that’s right, and sharks teeth and other cool stuff,
Entrance to the Farm
Its nice, rugged, outdoor stuff! who knew?). We had Christmas at her sister’s place. Her sister’s boyfriend cooked, the man is incredible, he did things with ham and turkey that I thought could only be done on a roller coaster. Speaking of which we went to Busch Gardens and rode roller coasters, with Marc Henry and two other friend’s from the US. That’s right Marc Henry was hanging with us in the US too (ask him for the details of that story)! We spent a day at Disney World, which is something else! It really is incredibly perfect in there, everything works and goes to clock work. However Natalia and I couldn’t help but think that all this money was spent on keeping people entertained when children are starving to death. But then in the same breath, it is employing thousands of Americans with jobs so that they can feed their families. We hung out with her friends and even had an engagement party for all those who couldn’t make it to our wedding. But out of all these fun things we did the most fun, and most enjoyable was just laughing with her in the car, or playing the fool in the grocery store,

He is big and likes hunting...I'm about to marry his daughter...very scared...:) or staying up late talking to each other. I am very much looking forward to doing life with Natalia. So thanks to God for crossing our paths and providing in such insane ways and thanks to those who were obedient to God’s voice and blessed me, blessed Natalia and blessed our relationship and marriage in giving us this time together.
Here Goes
So now I am home and back to phone calls and skype sessions, and back to trusting God (not that I ever stopped) with a job whilst searching the printed and electronic page to find it. I have an interview on Monday which I’m quite excited about, so for those intercessors out there, please keep that in your prayers. Planning a wedding across two continents is also fun, currently I'm looking for a photographer that charges reasonable amounts of money, and then we are kind of done until Natalia gets back in April. Also keep Nath and Tam in your prayers. They are really trusting God with what He has called them too down in the Cape, so please, please do pray for them. God is going to use them to change the face of South Africa
Laughing in the Car
These are the fun times! and really win some battles against poverty. Our dear friend Tarryn Knibbs in on outreach as we speak (or as I type and you read), so keep her in your prayers, as outreach is both awesome and trying!
Well lots of love to you all. I pray that God blesses you all dearly over this year and reveals more of His call on your life in bringing His Kingdom to earth. Hope too see you around. Peace!
