Josh, Tori andi outside with the pool of rememberence behind us, Washington Monument.
Hello,

Well, Were still here in Washington DC.

Monday we went down the road 9 miles to Six flags America. A theme/water park. Man did we pick the right day. 1st we went and got 4 x seasons passes, fill in the form, get our photo taken, they hand you your season pass. Its good for 15, Six flags parks in the US. Cost me $220. So ive got to go about twice to pay for it. We are going to Great Adventure up by Ross anyway. 1st ride, Tori and I Went on the cheeriplanes. Bit to high for Josh. Then on the sizzler, then we got the whole family onto an old wooden roller coaster, I reckon these ones are the worst. Sure enough it rattled and clanged us up and down, round and around. The kids got off and thought that wasnt too bad. After a few more rides , when it started to warm up . We got our ' Bathing suits' on and headed for the water park. 1st was the awesome funnel ride I had showed the kids on the computer, 7 stories high and it shoots you down a giant funnel. It was

good until we hit the water at the bottom, AAHHHHH THATS COLD !!!!! We were spoiled at Wet'n'wild in Orlando. As the water there was like bath water. This wasnt. We did 2 more rides and that was it, Tori was shivering. So we went back to the theme park side and went on this wicked log ride, where you just got totally soaked, so did everyone on the over ramp watching. Then we got dried out and changed back into our clothes. The kids had been dying to go into the arcade. They had great fun getting rid of their 30 tokens each. Then onto the dodgems, Then kylie and I went on a couple of roller coasters that the kids were definately not going to go on. Then on a last raft ride down the rapids before heading home. A very cool day.
Tuesday, We headed back off into town again as there were museums that we still wanted to see. 1st we lined up at the Holocaust museum, went through the general admission part until our time on our tickets was up to go through the main part. 3hrs of of going through there definately gave the kids

Do you remeber this view from " Forest Gump " ?
an eye opening experience. Kylie and I have been to Dakau in Germany, Some of the video and letters/diaries were from there. They showed short videos of the 10 years before the war, So it gave a good perspective of how Hitler actually got into power. I always knew the atrosities that he did, I never knew why the people of Germany put him into power. But when it shows you where the country was with depressions, lack of work, people still very bitter after the 1st world war. He came along at the right time and told them what alot of them wanted to hear. Once in power he just was unstoppable.
From there we went to the Spy museum that Josh had been wanting to go to all week. The three of them did a 'spy tour' where they can tell you more about that than i can. I think they had to try and solve things on there way around. then they did the general tour that I did. Well theres was an hour long tour and they caught up to me still going through the main museum. I found it really interesting, reading about different Spy stories

and agents that had been caught working for both sides. Alot of what they showed they said they really cant tell you what happens as it is still being done today. They estimate there is 10,000 spies in Washington Dc alone. It had James Bond's car in there with the revolving number plate and machine guns that come out of the headlights. Alot of war stuff and how different spies helped in particular parts of the war.By the time i got to the shop i realised it was nearly 5pm and we were spose to be on the train home by then to meet the van. We got there alright. Had a quick swim before yakking to Lisa and Grace after tea on the computer.
Wednesday, well we were spose to check out today but have still got things that we want to do. So we drove into Arlington Cemetery. Parked the car there and walked over the bridge to the Lincoln memorial and then walked over to the Vietnam rememberence wall. Back to the car for lunch, then drove out to " Dulles airport " where the other half of the Air and Space museum is held. They have got

alot of the big stuff out there. The 'Enterprise' space shuttle is there. This was the 1st one built. It never went in to space, but got dropped off the top of a 747 a few times , so crews could practice landing it and doing tests on it before building the shuttles that they used to go into space. Awesome. They have got the 'Enola Gay' there. Thats the plane that dropped " Little Boy " the nuclear bomb that was dropped on Horoshima, Japan. In retaliation for the attack on Pearl Harbour in Hawaii. They have got a concorde there, obviously after 2003 when they were decomissioned, The Smithonian managed to secure one.The Lockhead SR-71A Blackbird was very impressive as the worlds fastest jet propelled aircraft. With a top speed of 2250 MPH. We went up to the control tower they have got there to watch planes coming in every 2 minutes. Amazing to watch them just line up behind each other. They look so graceful when they come into land. From there we went and bought tickets to the "transformers" latest movie as they have it there on the IMAX screen. 6 stories high and LOUD. What an

awesome way to watch a movie. Known to everyone else except for me, The ' Air and space museum' that we were at IS IN THE MOVIE. Blow me over with a feather when they rush into the museum, Wake up the Lockhead SR-71A Blackbird and he transforms in a transformer and starts busting up the place. He becomes part of the movie. So if you have seen the movie. " WE WERE THERE" if you havent seen the movie, you definately want to go and see it if you like that sort of stuff and you will see what I'm talking about. Went out to dinner at ' Bob Evans' a chain restaurant over here. Not bad meals.then about an hours drive home. Were off to Ross and Christ'a tomorrow.
