- As I approach DC, there is a lot of poverty surrounding the capital. Exhausted from riding in the heat, I'm so glad to get to the hotel and crash for a nap. I've earned this evening martinee (lychee flavoured?)

08Aug07 - Washington DC
- Met up with my friend Lisa who was in DC for a conference and toured the city. We walked from the hotel to the White House. From there we visited the Washignton Monument, Veterans Memorial, Lincohn Monument and the Smithsonian Areospace Museum. It was a really hot day 34c with 100% humitity. We were deperate to cool off and had to resort to standing underneath the water sprinklers in the Washington Mall.


09Aug07 - Washington DC - Today we took transit to the Dulles Airport where the Vidurdy Smithsonian Musuem contains the Space Shuttle Enterprise, SR71 Blackbird and the Concord among hundreds of other aircrafts and spacecrafts. It took quite a while to commute from the hotel (train, 2 buses) to the museum. We were running late and ended up taking a cab back into town.
