Shopping Unlimited!!!

This i think the 5th weekend for us here and there cud have been no better time for shopping than this.I did the MOST EXPENSIVE SHOPPING IN MY LIFE in last two days!!

What a weekend i had!!A complete shooping experience!!It all began Friday evening when we decided to go for it.2 reasons for it.1St we didn’t have any plans to go out and 2nd it might be little late and we might be ;eft with less money if we delay it further.So It was Saturday morning!!It was a lazy
morning as we got up by 9.30 and got ready for shopping by 11.30.I had a delicious breakfast at kamlesh's apts.He really cooks good.We had a Aloo ka
Paratha with matar paneer.It was tasty!!

and then it was Destination Christiana Mall.Its a biggest shopping mall here in the state of Wilmington,comprising of 4 of the biggest names in USAi.e Macy's,JC Penny,Straberidge,Lord and Mayo and hosts of other small shops.We began our journey by walking to Governer's Square(The nearest junction from
our apts) for boarding on to local bus service.We reached a little ahead of time.hence we went to a Eletronics shop called RADIOSHACK where we got
ourselves couple of nice little digital clocks.We then approached the bus stop just in time to get the 12.20 pm bus to CHRISTIANA MALL.Amazing buses they have here.It immediately reminded me of buses in London.They are spacious and clean.We bought a daily pass for 2.40 bucks.A daily pass allows us to travel from their bus services unlimited thruout the day.

Within 10 mins we landed at CRISTIANA and then there was no stopping to me..Iam a complete shopping freak.if i locate anything that appeals to me,next moment its mine..I dispalyed nothing diffrernt from this on these 2 days..First thing i got was a LACOSTE perfume for Dinanath Bhaoji..I was told by many who have been here that one of the things that one shud buy from USA is perfumes..other is eletronics...u know what??I got ample of both in last two days..To list all of them..
- some of the best perfumes in US.
- Couple of T shirts from FOOTACTION
- 2 FOSSIL wrist watches
- A blue stripe Shirt from GAP
- A ADDIDAS cap and Sports sack
- A NIKE Sports sack.
- A KODAK digital camera
- A RADIO SHACK DVD/MP3/ACD/VCD Player
- 6 movie DVD's.
- Some soft toys and key chains from DISNEY WORLD Shop
- Some misc.stuff

U know the funniest part of it..I misplaced the very first thing i bought y'day i.e Lacoste Perfume..it was worth 65 and i misplaced it as i was busy making my selection for watches..Luckily enough i got it back from the old lady at Fossil watch counter when she was about to hand it over to Mall Security guard.GOD i was pissed off with myself till the time i got it back!!

Inbetween we had lunch at SUBWAY(a biggest food chain shop in USA after Macdonalds).I had a Veggie Delite with Pepsi.A funny thing here in USA is people drink pepsi/coke more than water..in fact i wud say they dont drink water here.I had to struggle to find out Drinking water tap in my apts for a week,only to find out later that they donot have a seperate drinking water tap in any apts.Even in restarants u wont be served water the way we get in india.Water is expensive than pepsi.I get a medium Pepsi for 1.20 and
same quantity of water for $ 2..

I was enjoying the shopping so much that I didn’t realised that it is 6.00 pm and we have to catch the last bus to reach GOVERNER SQUARE.We hurried up and
reached just in time to catch it.Each of us had 4 bags in their hands..and from GOVERNER SQUARE to our apts it was a looooong walk..it was tiring as we carry 4 heavy bags for 30 mins..it was like walking to home from borivli station..our shoulders were dead tired as we reached our apts at around 7.30.

I got freshen up..cooked a quick bread and egg and resumed checking the stuff..it took a while for me to organise the whole things,repack it and store it properly in my drawers..it was almost 1.30 that i went
to sleep..and soon i was snoring on bed!!

Next day i.e today Kamlesh and Shailaja called me and said that they both wanna return some stuff back.We decided to catch hold of our indian colleagues here in JP Morgan to give us a lift..and we were successful in
Getting Vijay (Kamlesh's trainer) to get us to CRISTIANA and back..in the meanwhile we all spent some time with Pracheer who was unable to sleep the whole night.He told us that his family back home had some serious problems.We all consoled him and convinced him to come with us so that he can get refreshed.It was around 1.15 pm that Vijay drove down to OUR apts..and
we were immediately back on road for round 2 of shopping to the same place.This time i visited shops that i have not visited y'day..got some small stuff.We told Vijay that it wont take more than 30 mins to change the merchandise and when we came out in the evening it was 4 pm.All of us got something or the other.On our way back we went to BESTBUY again where i
booked my DIGICam.Then we went to a DVD shop called BLOCKBUSTER where i picked up a DVD on the ROCK-Best of WWF.From thereon we went to Indian grocery store APNA BAZAR..purchsed some stuff for the week.I got
roties and 2 vegetables..pav bhaji and alu matar.Its all ready-to-cook stuff..a couple of biscut packs and a tea strainer.All this for $ 7.

Now it was really bad on our part to make Vijay drive for us so we decided to come back home.We all went to Shailaja's apts.She treated us all with a nice masala chai.After relaxing for a while we all thanked Vijay and said bye to each other to return to our apts.pracheer helped me set the DVD player to my TV.I plan to watch Rock's DVD tonight.It shud be great fun!!

It was a amzing shopping spree!!We spent almost 2 days at CRISTIANA and iam telling you that still we can spend another day at the same place and still i may not be satisfied..Its that huge!!it was the ultimate shopping experience!!the best so far for me!! All the names mentioned above in capital letters are famous brands in US.its nice to buy brands..i was happy at the end of theday though shopping worth USD 850 has definitely left me a little less money to spend for next one and half month!!!!
