Reading the map to find the start of the trail out of town
Another beautiful sunny day so we decided to rent bikes in Fort Collins and take a ride along the Le Poudre Trail which follows the river out to Larimer County. Took us a bit to figure out how to ride "cruisers" with automatic 3 speed shifting and peddles for braking. We passed horse farms, a quarry, and a number of open parks along the way. Spotted 2 fawns hiding in the woods along the trail too. It was a hot one so on our way back into town we decided to stop at Ben & Jerry's for some ice cream and water - perfect choice. We walked around the Old Town section a bit looking in stores and saw some cool sculptures and another painted piano that Sean and Dean played (a few notes here and there). Headed over to Golden when we were done and the boys hopped right into the pool to cool off some more.
