We started out with such optimism. Then just outside Jefferson on Hwy 285 a motorcycle decided to pass on a blind corner and ran head on into a pickup. Two flight for life helicopters and an hour later we were on our way again. We made it to Salida only to come upon another accident - a small car turning in front of a large semi. Another road block. The next day we saw an accident in front of us - a small pickup clipped the back of a small car....car parts flying everyone. But we did make it into Cortez last night and had a very nice dinner with Roy and Cody Jamison. We started out this morning - again very optimistic.
